‘Mega Health Camp’offeredFree Medical Services to over 550 people in Jodhpur- organized by Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram

Doctors urge to undergo periodic consultation for timely diagnosis of disease

Jodhpur, January 24, 2020: In an endeavour to bring Health Awareness, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram in association withUmed Club, Jodhpur organized one of the biggest Super speciality Health Camp in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The camp saw participation from over 700 people and more than 550 people were benefitted with a free consultation, medical services and tests. 


The attendees were offered medical consultation by Senior Doctors of Fortis Hospital, Gurugram. The main motive of the camp was to create awareness and educate people on the importance of different medical ailments, its diagnosis, treatment and intervention. This camp is one of such events where the people of Jodhpur saw participation from Directors of different medical specialities and gave consultation on diseases related to Orthopaedics, Blood Cancer, Bone Marrow Transplant, Cardiology, and Neurology. 


Senior Consultants of Fortis Hospital, Gurugram who offered their expert consultation during the camp included –Dr Subhash Jangid, Director and Unit Head, Bone and Joint Institute, Dr Rahul Bhargava, Director and HOD, Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant, Dr Binay Kumar, Consultant, Interventional Cardiology and. Rahul Miglani, Consultant, Neurology. 


In addition to this, free Blood Pressure Checkup, Bone Densitometry, Complete Blood Count Checkup Electrocardiogram (ECG) and, BMI, was also carried to create awareness about blood disorders, bones related problems, cardiology and neurology related problems which is one of the most worrisome and common health issues prevalent in this region. 


Dr Subhash Jangid, Director and Unit Head, Fortis Bone and Joint Institute, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram said, “Through this camp, we spread awareness about arthritis and neglected trauma issues in Orthopedics patients. More than 200 patients were seen with joint pains and mismanaged fracture problems. They were explained about the remedial measures. It was stressed that the trauma patients need to be managed aggressively for optimum results. Arthritis patients were made aware of the excellent and long-lasting results after knee replacement surgery with Navigation/Robotic assistance.” 


Dr Rahul Bhargava, Director, Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram said, “Throughout our practice, we have found a huge recurrence of blood disorder in Rajasthan. Through our camp in Jodhpur, we want to spread awareness that many blood disorders are not incurable and can be cured through medication. What is required is an early diagnosis and treatment. Early treatment leads to positive results and cure. We are committed to making Rajasthan anaemia free through our regular campaigns and will continue to serve the society through such camps. The good outcome depends on early detection and awareness. Through these camps, we want to raise awareness of blood disorders and blood cancers.”
